Crossing the Sea of Cortez
Crossing the Sea of Cortez

This is a unique passage ideal for those aiming to pass a Yachtmaster Coastal or Offshore exam. Together with the skipper and taking into account all relevant circumstances, you will plan a passage that includes a comfortable number of stops along the way as well as certain nights of sailing, in order to reach the port of Guaymas on Mexico’s mainland.

We usually run this leg at the end of the sailing season which allows a student to witness and take part in hauling out and storing the boat for the hurricane season. In addition to all the navigational and passage planning aspects of such a trip, you will learn how to properly care for your boat.
